On October 8, real magic will be happening in the Multimedia Hall — the Linii quartet, together with the audience, will go on an exciting and magical journey through the fantasy world of the famous Japanese animator Hayao Miyazaki. For one evening, touching music from his great animated films will come to life in a unique multimedia space in the very center of Moscow.
The composition of the quartet:
Ekaterina Kuzevanova — 1 violin
Alexandra Rysalieva — 2 violin
Elizaveta Suryeva — viola
Evgenia Morgunova — cello
The LINII String Quartet stands for aesthetics, style, professional performance and femininity. The members of the quartet have worked in Germany and China at various times, played as part of the RockestraLive orchestra, and since the winter of 2017 have been supplementing the concert performances of the indie band On-The-Go.
Hayao Miyazaki’s films — "Howl's Moving Castle", "Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind", "Spirited Away", "My Neighbor Totoro" and many others — are world-famous masterpieces, loved even by those who are far from anime culture. The soundtrack for all Miyazaki’s cartoons was written by his friend and composer Jo Hisaishi, with whom collaboration began back in 1983. It is noteworthy that silence and sound design in the works of the cult director is a separate hero who accurately emphasizes the emotional component of his stories. The concert program of the upcoming concert will include the best compositions by Jo Hisaishi, which so perfectly complement the fantasy world of Hayao Miyazaki.
